Lucie
Lucie paints the internal moments that don’t quite make it into words. Familiar forms such as figures, flowers, and buildings merge into vivid landscapes of thought, memory, and emotion, reflecting the inner worlds we often struggle to define.
Her work captures inner landscapes before they are lost in communication, offering space for them to emerge.
From the studio
“So much of who we are is internal. We communicate and find common ground, but so much gets lost in transit.
We all carry a rich inner landscape of breakthroughs, breakdowns, realisations, epiphanies.
The way we feel, the frames of our mind, our unique perspective.”
Background
Lucie has exhibited her work in cities including Barcelona, London, and Manchester, studied painting in Porto, and holds a First Class Fine Art degree.
Her journey to this point has not been linear, shaped by periods of instability and moments of real-life disruption that have redirected her way of working.
Processes of making sense of difficult personal themes, alongside moments of self-reflection and self-realisation, are explored throughout her work.
